Atlanta Ranked No. 4 Meeting Destination in the United States
ATLANTA (Sept. 2, 2014) – Atlanta recently ranked No. 4 on Cvent’s list of the top 50 cities for meetings and events in the United States for 2014. Cvent, a leading cloud-based enterprise event management platform, developed the ranking based on meeting and event booking activity in the Cvent Supplier Network. The ranking represents the second year Atlanta has maintained its position among the top five leading meetings destinations in the nation.
Atlanta boasts the fourth largest convention center in North America, the Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC). The Georgia World Congress Center features 3.9 million square feet with 1.4 million square feet of prime exhibit space, 12 exhibit halls, 104 meeting rooms and 2 grand ballrooms. Complemented by the Georgia Dome, Centennial Olympic Park, and surrounded by approximately 10,000 hotel rooms within a one-mile radius, these facilities comprise one of the finest convention, sports, and entertainment districts in the world.

Cvent evaluated more than 5,000 U.S. cities featured on the Cvent Supplier Network to compile the third annual list. Activity was tracked from July 2013 to June 2014, and the ranking was then determined by a set of qualifying criteria, including:

- Total Room Nights
- Awarded Request For Proposals
- Awarded Room Nights
- Percentage of Qualified Meeting Venues
- Number of Profile Views
