Busy Weekend Downtown: Driving Routes for Atlanta International Auto Show Attendees

ATLANTA – (March 13, 2013) Several large events are taking place on the Georgia World Congress Center Authority (GWCCA) campus this weekend, March 16-17. Those attending the Atlanta International Auto Show are encouraged to take MARTA or to use the routes listed below to access Building C of the Georgia World Congress Center. These routes are particularly important on Sunday when streets will be closed for the Publix Georgia Marathon.

Take MARTA
Attendees are encouraged to take MARTA to minimize traffic. MARTA offers free daily parking at 23 of its stations. The Dome/GWCC/Philips Arena/CNN Center Station is located on the GWCC campus, and fare is $2.50 each way. For more information, visit: www.itsmarta.com

Alternate Routes
If you are using a GPS to find a route to the Georgia World Congress Center Campus, please use: 235 Northside Dr. Atlanta, GA 30313.

Attendees are encouraged to take the following inbound routes:

Traveling from the South – 1-75/85 Northbound – Vehicles traveling Northbound on I-75/85 will use the Central Ave/Downtown/Georgia Dome exit (Exit 246). Continue onto Central Ave. Turn left onto Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr. Turn right onto Northside Dr. to access Yellow and Blue Lot parking.
Traveling from the North – I-85 Southbound – Vehicles traveling Southbound on I-85 will be directed via Variable Message Board to exit at North Ave.(Exit 249D). Turn right onto North Ave. Travel North Ave. to Northside Dr. A Variable Message Board will be positioned at that intersection directing vehicles to make a left turn onto Northside Dr. to access Yellow and Blue Lot parking.
Traveling from the North – I-75 Southbound – Vehicles traveling Southbound on I-75 will be directed via Variable Message Board to exit at Northside Dr.(Exit 252). Turn right onto Northside Dr. Travel Southbound on Northside Dr. to Yellow and Blue lot parking.
Traveling from the West – 1-20 Eastbound – Vehicles traveling Eastbound will use the McDaniel St. exit (Exit 56A). Turn left on McDaniel St. Make a right turn on Northside Dr. and travel straight to the Yellow and Blue parking.
Traveling from the East – I-20 Westbound – Vehicles traveling Westbound will use the Spring St. exit (Exit 56B). Turn right onto Spring St. Continue several blocks and left on to Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr. Turn right on Northside Dr. and travel straight to the Yellow and Blue parking.
Traveling from the East – I-20 Westbound – Vehicles traveling Westbound will use the Spring St. exit (Exit 56B). Turn right onto Spring St. Continue several blocks and left on to Mitchell St. Follow Mitchell St to Mangum St. Turn right on Mangum to Orange lot and Red Deck parking.
