ATLANTA (August 15, 2016)
The Georgia World Congress Center Authority’s 2020 Vision strategic plan – featuring additions, renovations and expansions to the Authority’s downtown Atlanta campus – will revolution the way meetings do business in the Peach State’s capital city, as outlined in a news release issued today by the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau. These various projects include the opening of Mercedes-Benz Stadium, development of an onsite convention hotel and upgrades to Centennial Olympic park and the Georgia World Congress Center.
“2020 Vision is the single biggest thing that has happened to Atlanta’s convention business since the opening of Georgia World Congress Center,” said Mark Vaughan, executive vice president and chief sales officer, Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau. “These new additions position the city very well to attract new business and allows us to adapt to expanding convention needs.”
