Kevin Duvall named new CEO of Georgia World Congress Center Authority

For more than 50 years, Georgia World Congress Center Authority has produced the boldest of leaders. This week, that tradition continues. We are proud to announce that Kevin Duvall, our own long-standing Chief Operating Officer, has been selected as CEO. Remarkably, he is just the third here to hold that title. Duvall will replace visionary Frank Poe, recently named Most Admired CEO by the Atlanta Business Chronicle, who retires at the end of the year.

Duvall, who’s been with GWCCA since 2002 and has served as our COO for the past 15 years, will take on this critical role to meet the ever-evolving needs of GWCCA and our guests from around the world.

Having played integral roles in modern Atlanta’s largest tourism efforts, Duvall will continue to oversee some of GWCCA’s most transformative downtown initiatives in decades. These projects include a master plan designed to boost convention business and build up Atlanta’s Westside and the redevelopment of The Home Depot Backyard green space at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

This leadership change at GWCCA underscores our commitment to maintaining a status as a premier global host, especially as Atlanta prepares to welcome eight FIFA World Cup matches in 2026. With Duvall at the helm, Georgia’s economy is sure to score big.

Congratulations, Kevin!
