The inaugural Making HERstory Tea event wrapped up The Authority’s Women’s History Month celebrations on Wednesday with a fireside chat between GWCCA’s Chief Administrative Officer Jen LeMaster and Director of Strategic Partnerships Shavannia Williams. The fireside chat was followed by a panel discussion with women leaders from the convention, sports, and entertainment industry from around Atlanta. The discussions covered everything from how to get into the industry to what it takes to put on a city-wide event.
The panelists included GWCCA Senior Director of Convention Sales Kim Allison, the city of Atlanta’s Special Events Director Ebony Barley Carswell, Vice President of the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau Kristin Delahunt, Deputy General Manager and Chief Commercial Officer of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport Jai Farrell, Director of Member Service and Retention at AMB Sports + Entertainment Lauren Fisher, and Senior Director of Guest and Team Member Services at Mercedes-Benz Stadium Toyya Lassere. The panel discussion was moderated by Atlanta News First Anchor Tracye Hutchins.
