Standard daily rate for parking in the Red Deck is $15, and during major events and game days, parking ranges from $20-$60 on campus. All other decks and lots offer hourly rates, with increased rates for recreational vehicles in the GWCC Marshalling Yard. All lots are gated and attendants are on duty during all show/event hours. GWCC parking facilities accept cashless payment options only. Additionally, the GWCCA Department of Public Safety officers patrol the lots and decks ensuring the safety of you and your automobile.
GWCC Marshalling Yard
GWCCA conveniently operates an on-site, 540,000-square-foot marshalling yard on Ivan Allen Jr. Blvd. adjacent to the Yellow Lot. The GWCC Marshalling Yard can accommodate approximately 600 trucks and sits just seconds away from the GWCC loading docks. It offers hourly parking rates, with increased rates for recreational vehicles.
The marshalling yard is patrolled 24 hours a day by GWCCA Public Safety officers to ensure safe access to and from the facility during the show.
GWCCA Public Safety
Atlanta is one of only a few cities fortunate enough to boast a world-class convention and events facility with its own public safety department. Georgia World Congress Center Authority’s Department of Public Safety (GWCCA DPS) is active on campus 24 hours a day, seven days a week. For every event, GWCCA DPS works with all involved parties to develop, review and approve a security plan to ensure a comprehensive safety strategy is in place based on the type of the event and number of attendees.
GWCCA DPS uses the National Incident Management System (NIMS), a standardized approach to incident management. Developed by the Department of Homeland Security, it establishes a uniform set of processes and procedures that emergency responders at all levels of government, non-governmental organizations and the private sector will use to prevent, protect against, mitigate, respond to and recover from incidents. Being NIMS compliant means GWCCA adheres to best practices related to communication, coordination and partnerships with all local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.
