The 411 on 420 Fest's daily schedule and daily tix
Attention Spreadheads: you knew Widespread Panic was headlining two days of the three-day Sweetwater 420 Fest at Centennial Olympic Park in April, but now we know which two.
The venerable Athens jam band will close out the festival on Saturday, April 20 and Sunday, April 21, performing two sets each night.
The festival – set for April 19-21 at the park, which is owned and operated by the Georgia World Congress Center Authority – released its daily schedule today, and highlights include:
North Carolina’s Avett Brothers round off the festival’s opening day, at 9 p.m. Friday, April 19, on the main stage (aptly named Sweetwater Stage), preceded by Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, at 6:30 p.m. on the Planet 420 Stage.
Indie rock/jam rock outfit Moon Taxi rocks the main stage at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 20, prior to Widespread Panic (7:30 p.m.), while a trio of popular festival acts, Band of Heathens (1:30 p.m.), Big Something (3:30 p.m.), and Iration (6 p.m.) take over the Planet 420 Stage.
Sunday’s (April 21) Sweetwater Stage packs a diverse musical punch, starting with Keller Williams’ Grateful Grass (bluegrass interpretations of the Grateful Dead) at noon, The Lennon Claypool Delirium (featuring John Lennon’s son Sean Lennon and Primus bassist Les Claypool) at 2 p.m., Grammy-winning Americana artist Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit at 4:20 p.m. (that is not a typo) and Widespread Panic at 6:30 p.m.
