MomoCon, the self-described “all-ages geek culture convention in Atlanta” that will return to the Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC) over Memorial Day weekend, has added the world’s most famous animated rodent to its celebrity guest lineup.
No, not Master Splinter.
We’re talking Mickey Mouse, mascot of The Walt Disney Co. Or at least his voice.
Bret Iwan, the official voice of Mickey Mouse since 2009, is slated to appear at MomoCon, along with fellow Disney-
MomoCon, the homegrown gathering for animation, gaming, comics, and cosplay enthusiasts, is one of the fastest-growing all-ages fan conventions in the country and drew its biggest crowd to date last year, and this year is moving to the more spacious Building B.
As such, MomoCon recently published a YouTube video exploring Building B’s virtues, including more than 790,000 square feet of exhibit and meeting space compared to last year’s 466,000 square footage in Building A, the wide-open, natural-light filled concourses leading to the exhibit halls, more seating space, more food and beverage options, and even the facility’s koi ponds – perfect backdrops for cosplay

Real estate brokerage Redfin hosts its annual company meeting Redferno 2020 through Friday (Jan. 10) at the GWCC, with an expected attendance of 3,200 for meetings, general sessions and breakout sessions throughout Buildings B and C.
Dinova Mission 2020, a multi-day conference held at the InterContinental Hotel Buckhead, will shift gears on Wednesday (Jan. 8) and host a team-building exercise at the Georgia World Congress Center’s Exhibit Hall A2 for employees of this Atlanta-based preferred business dining program.
Across Andrew Young International Blvd. at our campus good neighbor State Farm Arena, the Atlanta Hawks take on the Houston Rockets at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 8), and on Saturday (Jan. 11), pop diva Celine Dion brings her Courage World Tour to town. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m.
