GUTE NACHRICHT!

And speaking of events at Centennial Olympic Park, the Atlanta Christkindl Market, a German-themed open-air bazaar presented by the German-American Cultural Foundation, will create a festive scene in downtown Atlanta from just before Thanksgiving to Christmas Eve.

The event, which is free and open to the public, features up to 80 Bavarian-style wooden chalets, traditional German food, beverages, and handcrafted items including Christmas ornaments, toys and nutcrackers.

Last year, the Atlanta Christkindl Market drew more than 400,000 visitors when it was staged at Atlantic Station.

A grand opening ceremony is set for 6 p.m. Nov. 21 at Centennial Olympic Park. Christkindl Market will run Nov. 21-Dec. 24.
