ATLANTA -(January 31, 2012) The Georgia World Congress Center Authority Board of Directors today approved a six-year renewal of Levy Restaurants’ exclusive food and beverage contract for the Authority’s three venues starting in July 2012.
Levy Restaurants has been the official restaurant partner of the GWCCA since 2006, welcoming guests of the Georgia World Congress Center, Georgia Dome, and Centennial Olympic Park with world-class food and hospitality.
“Levy Restaurants has been a tremendous partner over the years and they are true culinary professionals that provide our guests an unmatched experience,” said Frank Poe, executive director of the GWCCA. “Renewing our contract with Levy was an easy business decision for all stakeholders involved in the process.”
In addition to continuing to elevate the guest and fan experience throughout the multi-facility campus, the thriving partnership will continue to generate opportunities to support the community and local farmers, artisans, and business owners alike. Over the last six years Levy and the Authority have been actively engaged in the community, from donating food and providing meals for thousands of local families, to their partnership with the Atlanta Union Mission that provides culinary education and mentoring programs for residents. They will also continue their Not-For-Profit program that has helped generate almost $6 million for local organizations who work at concession areas during events and functions on the GWCCA campus. Committed to local and sustainable sourcing, Levy partners with more than 25 local purveyors and more than 52% of all food Levy purchases is produced, manufactured or packaged in the state of Georgia.
“We have a kindred spirit in the people of Atlanta and a shared passion for great food, heartfelt hospitality and giving back to the community,” says Andy Lansing, CEO and President of Levy Restaurants. “We look forward to continuing our partnership and making the flavors of this great city and region shine in the world-class GWCCA facilities.”
